Self portrait of Gagendranath Tagore was issued in the year 1968 on the 30th death anniversary and abhisarika issued in the year 1971 in commemoration.There were picture stamp also from the stories of the renowned writers like yaksha pleading with clouds from kalidas meghdoot, shakuntala writing letter to dushyanta from kalidas shakuntala.
